The Optex OA‑Presence is a dedicated safety sensor engineered to guard the threshold of automatic sliding doors against unintended early closing. Mounted discreetly along the door’s leading edge or frame, it instantly detects pedestrians or obstacles and halts door movement—minimising the risk of injury and damage. For added safety, the sensor can also be positioned to protect against pinch‑points at the door leaf during its opening cycle.
